MALT-y Terms of Use
Effective 7 September 2026 · iPhone app
There is no affiliation, endorsement, or collaboration with surgical education and training in Australia and New Zealand.
These Terms of Use apply to MALT-y. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: Apple Standard EULA.
MALT-y is an independent app. It is not affiliated with RACS or the Morbidity Audit and Logbook Tool. It is a documentation aid. It does not diagnose or treat and is not a medical device. Always check the original label before sending an email.
Subscription
MALT-y Monthly is an auto-renewable subscription. Length: 1 month. Price is shown in the app for your App Store storefront (A$1.00 in Australia). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase through Apple In-App Purchase. MALT-y never sees or stores your card details.
The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. There is no lock-in period.
Access
A current subscription is required to photograph labels and prepare case emails. Paid features are unlocked only through Apple In-App Purchase. Restore purchases if you reinstall or change iPhone while subscribed with the same Apple ID.
Your obligations
- Use MALT-y only with labels you are authorised to photograph in the course of your work.
- Check every field against the original printed label before you send an email.
- Do not use MALT-y as a medical device, diagnosis tool, or treatment tool.
- Grant Camera or Photos access only if you want to photograph or pick a label. You can withdraw that in iPhone Settings.
Data
MALT-y does not store your content or personal data on our servers. Case photos and extracted text stay on this iPhone unless you send an email yourself.
Account
You may delete the local account and on-device drafts from Settings. That does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel that in Apple ID settings.
Apple
Apple, App Store, Apple ID, In-App Purchase, and Sign in with Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc. MALT-y is an independent app and is not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with Apple.
